Am I a Victim?

In this era of expanding definitions and wider discussion of sexual abuse in general, the most forgotten victim is still the underage victim. Lacking power, lacking a voice, lacking discernment or even categories, a child may grow up without understanding they have been the victim of sexual abuse. For that reason, we are making a new handout available, Child Sexual Abuse: a Worksheet for Victims and Possible Victims. If you wonder whether there might be specific sexual abuse in your past, you can download and journal through this resource to help reveal your particular story. It is only an introduction and does not have the scope to provide you with the help of a professional counseling relationship, but books of greater depth are suggested at the end of the handout, and the writing you do will provide a starting point for your next healing steps.
