- We believe in the triune God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, existing as three persons, of one substance.
- We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God, the basis for our lives, our faith and our counsel.
- We believe that sinners are saved by grace through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ who died on the cross to pay the penalty for believers’ sins. We believe that those who confess His death and resurrection receive His righteousness in exchange for their corruption and are assured of heaven. We believe that faith is demonstrated by grateful obedience to God’s word.
- We believe that every person has been created in the image of God, with a mind (the logical, thinking part of the brain), a heart (defined here as the seat of emotions) and a will (which initiates choices and actions). We believe that every person is born with human limitations and a tendency toward sin which constitute our brokenness. We believe that God is transforming His children into the likeness of His perfect Son, Jesus Christ who came to heal our brokenness. We believe that counseling should be an instrument of His redemptive transformation, wielded with compassion, conforming to God’s word.
